Does anyone know of a laundry service in either Duma or Valencia that they would recommend for good service and reasonable rates? I appreciate any information anyone might provide.

This has been one I have been going round and round with, too. I have tried most of them. Mr. Labada has decent service, but we like our clothes to have a nice scent (personal preference), and we didn't get that there. Another issue, we refuse to use a service that sends their laundry offsite to be cleaned and returned, and there are alot that do. Up Palinpinon Road there is a laundry called "Lovely Laundry" that does their laundry onsite and uses nice smelling fabric softener, and they are very reasonable. The problem we had with them was a chronic problem of the employees leaving early without notifying us, and our laundry being held hostage until the next day. So, the past couple of weeks, we are using another fairly new one, a little further up the road, by the Calvary Chapel Training Center, sorry, don't remember the name. But, I am satisfied with them for now.

I will check out the one by the training center as it's near where I'm staying. Thanks that helps a lot.

My wife is using the laundry service in Valencia located on the National Highway next to gasoline station and pharmacy. The same problem - girls often leave 30 min before stated time they were supposed to be closed and twice they gave her someone else's pants and tshirts, not mine. Can say nothing if they do the job there or offsite. Fragrance used is just so so but will do.

Additional info - laundry service in DGTE. Best DRY CLEANING [but not cheap] is the shop on Siliman Ave opposed of the school. Two regular laundries i have used are the one across from Harold’s Mansion [cheap, charge by weight] and the one next to Sr. Pedro across from the mall [charge by the weight].

Does anyone know if this is still open? If so, which gasoline station?

Bottom line is, now that I moved from NYC to Valencia, I am looking for a laundry service. Thanks for the input.

If you have a place for a washing machine the service I recommend is Samsung full automatic (mine was 7 kg). All washing was done on site, choice of smell according to what brand soap I bought. Open 24 hours a day. One time fee of 11k pesos. The smaller sachets of soap were just the right size and fairly cheap at Hypermart Duma.

Some people recommend the LG because they claim it spins more water out in the spin cycle and the clothing dries faster but I can neither confirm or deny. I can confirm that the one time fee for the LG is higher.

I (we) live in Valencia proper and use Marcus (Shweiger Laundry - think that's how it's spelled. Excellent service - hand the washing in one day - Marcus delivers it to our house the next. 20 per kilo for clothes and a couple of pesos more for bed sheets. His place is a little hard to find (in Valencia) but here's his phone number: 09776206656 (English and German - he's Swiss and his G/F speaks fluent English.

After a few bad experiences of clothes being hung to dry, only for it to rain, and our laundry smelling of mildew, I decided to only use laundries that have machines to wash and dry. The dryers also leave your clothes softer than those hung to dry.
