Solar powered lights/gadgets

Thanks Princeton, Alex, Roger and all who have picked up lights from me. Nice to think of the families who won’t have to rely on candles or kerosene in the dark anymore. I’ve only got 5 left. I’ll hang on to those to give away unless someone wants them. If there’s enough interest, I can order another case. Please note the contact I listed earlier in this thread if you’d like to order your own.

 

With the recurring brownouts more of you have requested solar lights. I will order another case – should be in next week. Please remember, I’m providing these at my cost trusting that anyone who can afford to, will buy an extra light or two to give away, especially to families who don’t have power.

 

I ordered another box of lights to arrive well before Christmas. They got to Dumaguete overnight, but somehow never quite made it to my address in Dauin, and then totally disappeared. If you see a home or vehicle normally dark at night but now lit by 24 solar lamps, please tell them to thank me, or better yet, thank Best Brands (see contact earlier in this thread) for supplying me with the replacement box. I have about 18 left, and, as I did before, I’ll have them at McDonalds (old) Monday morning, January 20th from 9:30-10:30. If that’s not convenient, pm me and we’ll make arrangements. Because I buy by the box, my cost per light is 461p. Since I can’t count (or make change) in multiples of 461, we’ll call it an even 450. Thanks to Roger, as always, for covering me for untaken lights. Hope we’ll see more of these lights brightening homes during brownouts, and even more going out for free to those who don’t have power.

I can recommend the solar lights John thankfully ships here. We have used 4 of them during frequent brownouts and they were definitely an asset.
