It would be fun to meet other members interested in growing plants in person. So I am proposing a seed/plant exchange.

If you are like me with seeds, you go out and buy one of the those little packets of seed to grow a few plants, pay 75 P and get 200 seeds. This leaves you with over 100 seed you really do not need.
I am proposing a seed/plant exchange get together for those interested and trade plants and seeds. Spring is here and now is the time to plan or plant your gardens and yards.
I would propose we meet on a Saturday morning, February 8, from 9 to 12 at my house in Bacong (near Bambulo Resort) to trade seeds, and/or plants. I have some small clear envelopes to put the seed in for you to take home. So bring your seeds, potted plants and knowledge and let share a little of enjoyment we get from growing things.

If you interested please post your interest, so I can decide if this is worthwhile endeavor. Thanks

Dave, you might want to adjust your body clock, as you seem to have lost a month, unless you have the secret of reversed time travel !!! :p

    The same.
Have no seeds/plants to share but would be glad to buy some from you. Especially interested in lovely flowers. Also simple vegetables and herbs good for eating. My one and only experience with growing plants from seeds here failed - only 1 flower from the whole pack of seeds purchased in Robinson's moll showed up. Therefore would be glad to discover if I was doing something wrong or what.
    Regards
    Mary

    Thanks for the enthusiasm.

Sounds like people are interested. So maybe someone can share some success stories. Let set a time of 10:30 "show and tell' time. I will be happy to share some of my excess seed. I will also start some new plants by seed for those who want something something to start with.

Please let me know what what type of seeds you want? vegetables, flowering plants. or whatever. Plants can also pretty readily be started from cuttings.

Thanks for the enthusiasm. At a time closer to the March 8 date, I will post what seeds I will have available I would appreciate anyone else to do the same, so we can have as large as variety of plants and seed available.

Dill seed, Eggplant and Basil seedlings

I have fresh Basil seed and eggplants. No parsley seeds as I have not been looking for parsley seeds. I did see some dill seed today at Nijosa. You could bring the dill seed for trading if others are interested.

I will be starting seed tomorrow for Basil, and eggplants. Hopefully they will have sprouted by the time of the exchange if the weather stay warm.

I will make up a list of the seed I have, some are from last years seed crop. Also if I can think of some I would like I will list those.

Fertilizer will be available at Plant/seed exchange on March 8

Fertilizer will be available at Plant/seed exchange on March 8

I will be purchasing a large bag of commercial grade fertilizer, Ammonium Phosphate (16-20-0). I can split the bag into small bags, sell it at about 30%+ discount from the locals. Locally at Nojosa and Handyman it sells for about 125 P per kg, I can sell for 80 P and still pay my transportation cost to get it here.

Please let me know if you are interested in getting Ammonium Phosphate or have some other fertilizer you are you are having success with. I am very successful with Ammonium Phosphate.
