Why not break it down and offer it to multiple people. In other words, I can split with $1 and you can give me a buck fifty in two years. You could do a sort of crowd sourcing campaign open to members of the site.

Do you mind sharing your plans for the site? Hiring content writers? Hiring people to add new features? Purchasing ads?

 

I'm open for discussion of about anything but don't have much time to put much together. Otherwise it likely will be going back to it's previous very professional, caring, and competent management soon.

We plan to continue to update and promote the site, and already have tried to hire content writers, news and events writers, etc., and would continue to do so.

I know it's a long shot but, there have been 1,000's of people benefit from this site. If 500 members (readers or active) would donate/invest P1,000 you would be very close to the mark. if my idea takes hold count me in for sure.

Great idea, but the site only has about 150 active users, so that would mean if each active user could loan P3000 we would be in em. You first, Ron!

Another option might be to have different levels. Say 1000 for donation and higher levels for part ownership or something. Some people might be willing to put in more spread out over a period of time (fixed monthly income people for example.)

 

Another idea might be to run sponsorships / fund raisers. I don't know how to meeting worked at La Fiesta (maybe they did this for you already) but I imagine certain places would be willing to pay if we were to bring in a bunch of people for food and drinks. Then on top of that, run a cover charge which goes straight to the fund.

 

If we were to invest, what would are liability be, if a lawsuit was to come about?

 

I don't see how there could be any liability at all, Pat, but it is something worth considering given the history of this website. Probably a disclaimer clause giving full responsibility to us as the administrator and no personal responsibility to the investor would suffice.

Also, this suggestion from my PM box got me thinking, "Your idea of p3000 is something i would go for or like investment packs of say p1500 - p3000 - p6000 because you have 150 active maybe better to start at p3000".

Perhaps something like a deposit unit of say P2000, that pays out P1500 within one year and P1500 the second year. Persons can buy as many units as they feel comfortable with.

No money will be collected for this until the entire deal is confirmed and enough pledges collected to close the deal.
