Well guys, I have just come back from the Captains Office, There, I talked to him and the Local Police attachment officer, both had expressed (for what it is worth) their regrets about the incident. Inquiries made so, far have led them to outsiders shooting birds in our area. Not a lot we can do about that they said, however, they have both said that it is important to investigate as far into it as they can. (I think, for there own safety not mine) We will wait and see how they approach this.

I had to smile at Larry's comment, especially, as the Police officer asked me if I, owned a pellet gun or if Azon had a weapon in the house. I guess they did not want me to take the law into my own hands. They also told me that as this is Fiesta Week, there will be a lot of Strangers and family of neighbours who are not normally about, This they said, may make it a little difficult to talk to strangers as there may be a lot more than usual.

I have to put up a sense of Humour here, just carry on as normal, If this was a deliberate act, No way am I going to be Bullied by anyone, These type of People, always need to brag and the truth will come to me in the end,

 Then I will Act O--O

I am not being "macho" only feel this - WHEN DOES "IT" BECOME TOO MUCH ? again, my best wishes for a total recovery - TB

Hi JP I would suggest it was not a high powered a/r, or it was shot some distance away and was near expired when it hit you, or you would have been laying on the surgeons table having it dug out, the high powered a/r are around 700 to 900 fps. Did you hear it? They are not that quiet

Never heard a thing, Just stood one minuet and on the floor the next, not a lot of Blood for a few seconds then poured for some time (well I say Poured but I guess you know what I mean) when I got home 15 or so mins later it was quite clean, the morning after I looked like I had gone the full 15 rounds :D I look when ever I am down that part, to see if I can see the pellet but no such Luck, the road is very dry and dusty around there, I really do think it is lost forever, :( not even a memento of the day

it is possible it was not an air rifle, it could have been a shanghai / slingshot very common here, using a rock or small ball bearing, then there is the home made marble gun powered by gasoline, or glove gun
