On a flight from Dgte to Cebu that went along the east side of Mactan Island in preparation for a landing coming in from the north, I spotted these tiny island outposts View attachment 11661 View attachment 11662 View attachment 11663 View attachment 11664
I seen them a couple of months ago , well I am guessing that it is the same group , we flew up from Davao to Cebu , first thought I had was what the inhabitants did when typhoons and storms come through the area
I suspect they leave before that happens (most are likely fisherman and have boats to leave). I bet they appreciate a good annual typhoon. Probably wipes off all the filth that is bound to be there. Sort of natures own little "spring cleaning" day. It has to be truly disgusting to live on those little islands.
I often like to explore using Google Maps, it is amazing how many small sandbars there are out there with people living on them, makes you wonder what they drink when they live a long way from the nearest signs of Towns or Cities... And yes; I also thought the same about Typhoons, considering how many I warn at times watching the Weather reports, going by the reactions of many, I doubt most of these people would even now there was a typhoon on its way...
