Submitted papers for ACR 3 months ago. Supposed to be ready 2 months ago but this never happened.
In the Migration Office been told that they did everything right and that was a problem in Manila (data base or smg) and now I must sent another request to Manila. And wait for another 2 months for it to be done.
My English is luckily too poor to describe how furious I am about that.

Need your advise how to proceed. Did any of you ever face this trouble or is this a common situation here in Dumaguete?
If I really have to apply for the 2nd time is there a point to complain? And if yes-whom do I adress in this case?
    Appreciate any info. Thanks.

Ask the Dumaguete Immigration what's the best solution, or if it is better for you to go to Manila Immigration to follow-up personally.

My husband ACR was process in Cebu thru attorney Abellon, i went to asked him to have it release earlier as we have already purchased/booked flight. I paid 15thousandpesos more or less, attached our flight ticket and carry all the documents that Attorney Abellon(cebu immigration office) gave me and went to Manila Immigration. With his advised/instruction, i went to the second floor of Manila Immigration, told the in charge that i have a flight to catch the next day. He signed the papers without further question. I waited 3 hours, and finally i got the Fresh ACR with Permanent Immigrant Visa status of my husband.

Now, if your case is not urgent, then perhaps you can wait for another few months. And also, your wife should take initiative to follow-up and asked help to the Immigration staff.

    Good luck!

I also know another person in this situation, also including myself, I spoke to the woman in Cebu on Saturday to ask the problem and was told because of all the changes in the bi at moment there is a long delay, originally I was told 1-2 months but well over now.

    Dear blueskies,

    thanks 4 respond.
My case is not that urgent but on the same time if i proceed as adviced we'll be attached to Dumaguete for next 2 months which is a bit inconvinient.
It's just that I don't trust those girls in The Migration Office. I feel like it's they who made a mistake or smg which has become a reason of my current problem. I wonder if I can make it clear somehow...

Didn't understand the last sentence about my wife, sorry, English is not my native...If I unerstand you correct your advice is to make my wife take care of this, not me? Why?

    Davy,

thank you, this explains something. As I understand I'm not the only one in this case. But what's the reason you asked a woman in CEBU, are those kind of deals being done in Cebu? Not in Manila as I been told?
Also have you been reccomended to repeat the request for the 2nd time or just wait?
    Thanks

Yes all can be processed in Cebu as well as Manila. I have not been asked to repeat but just wait! The person in Cebu. Was the interviewer for our application. She informed us when we applied for permenant it would take 1-2 months as all applications have to go to Manila bit there have been a lot of changes of late with staff etc so it is taking much longer to process applications and cards.

    Davy, got it.

Glad to hear this is not our Migration Office's mistake. I guess I'd wait for a couple of weeks and if still no results repeat the procedure.
    Thanks a lot!

I went to Manila to renew my ACR even though I live near Bacolod.
    Yes I know this may sound excessive but I received my new card 10 days later, { I had a friend pick it up for me }
    Don't need attorney's Or Bribes / Facilitation fee's .
Forget Dumaguete/Bacolod/Cebu, They don't seem to be able to do anything. the easiest way is to bite the bullet & do it your self...
