After a few failed attempts to switch the servers over the last few days, this morning I called customer support at 8:30. This customer support is allegedly one of the best in the industry, and they were very prompt and helpful, or appeared to be. After being passed through three of them over the course of 6.5 hours, and being walked over and over through the same process numerous times by each of them, at 3:30 I received this message from them; Hello I have tried logging into the server via SFTP as you did with Filezilla and also received this error: Error: Authentication failed. Error: Critical error Error: Could not connect to server Please allow me some more time to look into this. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. So to sum it up, I spent the entire day with three people who were trying to get me accomplish something that will not work on THEIR computer! For some unknown reason I am starting to lose faith. Hang on guys, the next few days might get bumpy. Larry
I STILL have a hard time believing that some of your country men were walking on the moon, but just in general I believe that it's probably just the way our times are confusing more and more people and so you will see more of this kind of situations that go wrong... Good luck...
Who is the provider that you are attempting to move to? I deal with stupid customer hosting - new instances like weekly. Interesting that they have given you an SFTP login. Though that's far better than FTP, most web hosting providers still use FTP. Do they have any sort of web based control panel you can log into?
When our countrymen were walking on the moon, Bill Gates was 14 years old, and there were a LOT less things to go wrong!
It's like our lives are getting so complex that there will come the time that even the ones with iron wills and total(?!) control will be overhelmed with decision making, I will try not to be around anymore when that will happen...
If you look very close, you may be able to see the used car on the moon..:D Larry, FYI DI seems to work very well on my end and seems faster than most other web sites.
Believe it or not! Gene Cernan left a Nestle chocolate bar on the moon before he was the last to board, just in case there would someday be doubting Thomas’s from small countries with no space program of their own.
