http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-10-23/cdc-s-ebola-go-team-sprints-to-new-york.html I think the rule should be very simple: If you had visited one of the countries infected and travel to the US you should be immediately quarantined for 21 days regardless if you are showing symptoms (and at your own personal expense). A law should be passed that issues a 5 year prison sentence for lying about your travel to the area.
For me, this should be Travel to any Country. Lets Not forget the US is not the only country in the world that needs some sort of protection against this sort of thing.
I'm not a citizen of any other country. I figure that there is enough of the US pushing it's laws on others around the world as it is. Let the rest of the world deal with it how they want. (and if they decide not to deal with it and their country becomes heavily infected with the disease the US should add them to the required 21 day quarantine list.)
Not really the answer I was Expecting but that's life. I was Referring to your very good suggestion on a Penal sentence for withholding information. on Prior Travel. The European Union Health Organisation, has had a Quarantine Period in Place for Infectious Diseases and things like Ebola for a number of years, However, I have never heard of a Penal sentence for the Withholding of Travel Information. This should be Mandatory to me All the World. The WHO ( World Health Organisation) Should of course be taking this on board.
Maybe the penal penalty should be to be quarantined until death.... just thinking. Shouldn't ebola be consider a chemical weapon since it is actually a chemical problem? I wondered if the first guy,to the US with Ebola, who lied on his immigration information about being close to ebola, was a suicide chemical war bomb. Of coarse when his family gets done suing the hospital, doctors, nurses, ambulance driver, snack vendors and the crossing guards in front of the hospital, and the black activist claim prejudice in treatment then the whole suicide chemical bomb issue will never come up.
Ebola is not a good virus for a biological attack. Too slow to kill and too hard to spread. The guy wouldn't have went to the doctor if his intent was to spread it to as many people as possible. I personally think that he went to the US to get better treatment. (I guess that didn't work out quite as he planned.) As for the race card they are playing.....well, that's getting a bit ridiculous in the US. Sharpton is a f'n race-baiting a-hole. He brings nothing good to the country.
