If having the albums Dark side of the moon, Wish you were here, Umma Gumma and Meddle on CD qualify somebody as a Pink Floyd fan, then yes! Wish you were here is my all time favourite track. Its perfect for playing in the evening during summer daylight savings Did not like Another brick in the wall. Had it on tape, the only time i played it was when i could not sleep, it was perfect for boring me into a state of unconsciousness
I'm right with you Prens, heres David Gilmore playing one of Sid Barretts contributions. Underneath the vid is the Wiki article on the rise and fall of Sid Barrett. It's a good read. Was always blasting Pink Floyd on late night to early morning watch when sailing across the Pacific. What a great band. Ron
. " Animals " has always been my favorite album. I've even listened to Umma Gumma and the soundtrack from the movie "more" as high as a kite several times, but that was more than 30 years ago... One of My favorite all time bands....cheers
I was in Earl's Court when they filmed the "Pulse" gig in 1994 during the Division Bell tour. I think the video package was released a year later. Waters wasn't with them but they had additional musicians and back-up singers. Great band and an amazing light show. Audio was quadrophonic.
My younger brother gave me a Pink Floyd ticket for my 21st, at Manchester opera house. Dark side of the moon just released. They had the spit fire flying over the crowd and all the pyrotechnics. Fantastic.
