    I am sure this question has been asked before many times, but now it's my turn. My family and I are looking to rent an apartment style hotel room for a few weeks or until we find a suitable long term furnished 2 bedroom apartment starting around the 1st of the year (2016). Any suggestions or recommendations? Pretty flexible about location within reasonable travel time to Silliman University Elementary School. Thank you

    There is one very close to Silliman in Piapi across from Nevas Pizza on Amigo St. called Hassaram Courtyard. I've been in the 3 bedroom before and was impressed with the quality and size.

    Yea I like this place a lot as long as I were able to get the unit I want and get it on a monthly basis without being locked in a year lease. If its that nice I might rent longer but don't want to be stuck .Thank You

    A fully furnished two bedroom apartment on a short-term basis near the city center for P22,500 is far from pricey.

    Dear Forum Members:

    Regarding the Hassaram Courtyard in Dumaguete:

    If a person elects to lease an UNfurnished unit, how easy (or difficult) is it to find and get delivered/set-up all the furniture, bedding, curtains, TV, and kitchen essentials from retailers around Dumaguete?

    Looking at the interior pictures of the Hassaram Courtyard (Dumaguete) furnished 2 bedroom units, and then looking at the rental price differences for their furnished and unfurnished 2 bdrms., if a person were to stay three years (36 months), the cost difference for the furnished model over the unfurnished model is 198,000 PHP more for the furnished model over a 36 month rental period.

    Just wondering if I could outfit a 2 bdrm. to at least the furniture/quality standards as they have in their pictures, and spend less than 198,000 (to include delivery and set-up).

    198,000 PHP is around 4,500 USD at today's exchange rate (44:1).

    Yeah, I know I'd have to have one heck of a "Everything Must Go!" whole house full yard sale at the end of my stay. But at least I'd recoup a little bit at the end, and have a lower monthly rent to pay for 36 months (up to 48 months).

    Would the regular DI Forum Members please kindly take a look at the Courtyard interior pictures and give me your thoughts on this?

    This seems like a good place to stay - close to Silliman U, has internet, appears safe and secure, and looks like I can catch a Pedicab(?) fairly easily from this location until I can get my own wheels (no wheels during my 1st year).

    Thank-you!

    V/R,

    I guess anything is possible but Standards vary so much even from Photos but then what is today, is not what it is tomorrow.
    Usually things are bought from stock here so it would be very much a Today thing. For me Do your Deal with the vendor, Book into a Hotel for week and take it from there.
    We have recently Bought for the Sala and one Bedroom and bought in the morning and all was delivered in the Afternoon. It can be Done but as I say it is a Today thing. Come the end of your first week Whola moving day again :wink:
    Azon tells me that whilst you may not realize anywhere near what you paid for the Furniture, you should have no problems selling it but remember people who will buy 2nd hand things will not be particularly Wealthy if they were I am not too sure they will be buying used but......................:wideyed: This place can blow your mind some days:thumbsup: having said that I am sure you can do a 2 bed for less 198.000 fairly well but I would not put an actual on that as it is all down to what is in stock on the day

    JP:thumbsup::smile:
