Are you scared yet human?

Watched an interesting documentary last night about the use of Artificial Intelligence
especially by China, it was a BBC Panorama programme, by the above title.
There is no escape from technology, if the whole of the world is governed by this method, some might say it is already happening!
Try to watch the programme and give your thoughts, while you can still enjoy the freedom you have now ( yes even with covid!)

I tried to watch the video but it seems to be available only in the UK.

 

A pity. Some (not me) would use VPN set to UK. Using iPlayer requires giving a UK address and some might find one and use that. Then when they ask if you have a TV licence, some would just say yes.

I am, of course, against all of that - but some would do that to watch iPlayer. Shocking what people get up to.

 

Maybe via BBC news channel worth a try, type in Panorama see what happens.

This video is scary. The message sounds like something a politician might say. "We won't try and control you" "We only want what's best for you".

 

Interesting video, but not the one I referred to which was produced by BBC.

Very true!
Believe me SP not as scary as the future according to the Panorama programme.
For those not able to access BBC iPlayer, maybe look up "Smart cities" and the use of AI, its use can even detect your moods and able to sense what you are thinking, something on the lines of a lie detector only much more effcicent, being just one example.
It's benefits are numerous in the right hands, however human mindset being what it is, AI in the wrong hands is a very dangerous tool.
After watching the capabilities AI already has, which is in use both in China and in America, very scary indeed.

Perhaps 'civilised' countries will stop hanging innocent people.

 

If a country was truly CIVILISED then there would be no need to hang people....
