    Hey guys,

    I was wondering if any of you had to make biometric photos (Link: like this) recently and found a good photographer that knows what he's doing?

    I need them for a Thai tourist visa and a European passport renewal. I usually do my extension photos at ImageBank but they clearly have no idea how to make "proper" biometric photos :-(...

    Any place you can recommend? Would be insanely helpful to me! Thanks!

    Hey Jack,

    thanks for the tip, it's really appreciated :-).

    Did you have to bring the photo specifications and explain them what you want or can I just tell them to make biometric pictures and they'll know what to do?

    I have this paranoid fear that I get the photos made now and in a month when I am sitting at the embassy in Manila they're going to tell me that something is wrong, they can't process my stuff and I am f*cked lol.....

    Nope I just told them it was 2 x 2 photos for the BOI and they did the rest, never had a problem at all. They do all the Passport Photos and stuff for Siliman.

    If you are worried take the Requirement form with you :thumbsup: But the Word Biometric Photo, does have a Slightly different meaning here. :rolleyes: Biometric to the Filipino is just Personal details so Please don't worry unduly.

    Just did a US passport renewal in Cebu at the Consulate using passport photos shot by the photo shop on the 2nd floor of the Robinson's Mall, near Globe and SST Computer repair. Not a comment at all from the official at the renewal desk. They are very efficient, fast and inexpensive.

    Jack, that's exactly the problem! I know that the BOI takes the regular 2x2 pictures without any comment. But if you get a PASSPORT renewal from your countries embassy or a visum for Thailand they WILL NOT accept 2x2 photos!

    That's why I opened this thread to ask if someone knew where I could get "real" biometric photos which come with a heap full of requirements.

    @tlrtraveler

    Thanks I'll check them out :-). d*mn you're lucky that you can renew your passport in Cebu, next stop for me is Manila :-(.

    It should say on the application form what size photos you need. Before I came out on this contract I had to renew my security clearance. I did the fingerprints at the Valencia police station (they were more than happy to help out with the FBI fingerprint requirements) and then I had the photos taken at Fuji Film. The photos were good enough for the FBI and US DoD, they should be good enough for Thailand or the State Department.

    On a side note: I had to get a visa to work in Afghanistan.....took a selfie with my cell phone and they were happy with that. lol

    One of the first questions they will ask is what is the Photo for, They will know, what to do. but I see Dustin has answered.

    Not sure about German passports, but for Swedish passports they have a special photo machine at the embassies (and police stations in Sweden). They will ONLY allow a picture taken by their own machines.
