A British national and his Filipina girlfriend who were allegedly selling some tablets of Ecstacy inside a disco bar in Mantuyong, Mandaue City yesterday dawn.

Kevin Felix Heins Andrew Tauber, 52, and his live-in-partner, Anna Manas, 28, were caught in a buy-bust operation. They claimed to be residing at Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.

Insp. Henrix Bancoleta, who led the operation, said in an interview that they conducted the buy-bust operation at the International Bar Complex, which the foreigner co-owns, at past 3 a.m.

The team was composed of operatives of the City Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group of the Mandaue City Police Office.

Bancoleta said a police decoy acted as the poseur-buyer by pretending to buy a tablet of the illegal drug for P1,000. The decoy “transacted” with Manas at the table. http://www.philstar.com/cebu-news/6...rlfriend-arrested-they-were-allegedly-selling

Now that's just funny. Wonder why the girls were running away when the police came in? I thought the police usually raid these types of bars to "rescue" the girls from evil foreigners. :hilarious:

So this guy was not only dealing drugs (and to locals no-less).....but also running a girly bar. Absolutely genius! Was this guy trying to get arrested? :banghead:

    Side note:
    Ecstasy Effects:
    • A perceived increase in energy levels.
    • A euphoric state of being.
    • Distorted perception of time.
    • Higher pleasure from and desire for physical touch.
    • Increased levels of sexuality and sexual arousal.
    • Elevated alertness.
    • Increased energy and focus.
Phew! Good thing they got rid of that dangerous stuff. Don't want anyone being euphoric, smiling, hugging or dancing too much! Now the bar's customers can get the legal stuff from the bartender.....that can cause (same website):
    • Increased heart rate
    • High blood pressure
    • Dizziness
    • Tremors
    • Mood changes
    • Paranoia.
Drink enough of the legal stuff for long enough and you can also have these added health "benefits":
    • Heart attack
    • Stroke
    • Respiratory failure
    • Coma increase
    • Psychosis
    • Immune deficiencies
    • Organ damage
It's a good thing that the police ignored all those prostitutes so that people can, not only, have the added health benefits of alcohol at the bar.....but STDs as well! Good lookin' out, Government, doin' a great job!

Reading the story it sounds like a lack of detail. The foreigner co-owns the bar and the seller was his gf. Yet nothing in the details connects him to the crime really other then his GF and the claim the GF with the officer approached the foreigner right before the arrest which doesn't mean much.

This foreigner could very well and probably is involved in some way but based on that it could very well be the GFs side business the foreigner isn't involved in and the police wanted a higher profile arrest then just some Filipina gf. I'd like to see more of a connection with the foreigner. If this were in the US or a western country more info would be required to get much on charges on him.

You might want to read the article again. Tauber had the drugs. The GF negotiated the deal but had to get the pill from the foreigner.

"Bancoleta said a police decoy acted as the poseur-buyer by pretending to buy a tablet of the illegal drug for P1,000. The decoy “transacted” with Manas at the table.

Bancoleta said Manas stood up and approached Tauber, who supplied the tablet."

It says that the decoy *transacted* with Manas (the GF) at the table. The part of Bancoleta supplying the tablet from the statement above sounds fishing more so as if its a claim from Manas that Bancoleta supplied the tablet. If the tablet was seen directly coming from Bancoleta it would have said something more in the lines of transacting with Bancoleta while Manas was just the middle person.

I see this as them only saying it to connect Bancoleta to Manas while their is no evidence other then a likely claim by Manas which would be unreliable given a fair court w/o that statement nothing would link Bancoleta to the crime other then bad taste in a GF (not a crime). Now he could have been hit on the business side for having drug sales at his establishment but that wouldn't have been anywhere as severe as a selling drugs charge and a good lawyer probably could have had it dismissed.

I'm not saying the foreigner wasn't involved though. Just that it sounds like he had is tracks covered and they are fishing to connect him as busting a bad foreigner is worth 100x busts of bad filipino's to them.

I think you need to read it again. Now you have the police officer supplying the tab.

Maybe accessory before, during and after the fact? Why didn't the man complain about his GF selling off all his erectile disfunction medicine? It doesn't sound like he needed the money but he WANTED the money or he wouldn't be letting his supply get away. In any case, the man was in possession of an illegal drug and knew it. I'm sure someone could buy some Viagra for less than 1k legally. All parties involved knew the law was being broken. It's tough to generate much sympathy.

Messed up on the names a bit. But it states that the decoy transacted with Manas (the GF) meaning the tablet was exchanged then. Then they stood up and approached the foreigner who they claim supplied the tablet but as they approached him it means he wasn't at the table were they had the transaction.

To me it shows either a poorly written article and/or account or a hole in the story and they are claiming that Manas got the tablet from the foreigner which would have been before the transaction took place so what is the point in approaching after?

It could just be to poor English skills by the article writer who insisted on quoting "transaction" and the only way for a transaction to take place is when something is exchanged for something else (before approaching the foreigner).

Just saying though how its written leaves a hole suggesting that they wanted to nab the foreigner yet couldn't get evidence against him directly so they mixed in a new statement which is questionable due to the previous statement. Just interpreting wordings.
