Had my annual exam last Thursday at Manila VA. While there I was informed as of July 1, 2017 C&P exams are no longer being performed at Manila VA. They are being contracted to private doctors. If a vet files a disabiliy claim they will be contacted from someone in the states as to where to go for their c&p exam. I asked about reimbursement for travel exspenses to the c&p exam and they did not know what the new procedure is. Seems like this will create more of a backlog instead of improving VA services for vets. Way to go Trump and Shulkin. As usal SNAFU.
C&P = Compensation and Pension (for those who may have gone to Canada or daddy got them a deferment).
Follow up to my previous post about compensation & pension exams. The contracted company is Veterans Examination Services(VES) located in the U.S. Their website address is www.vesservices.com. Travel expenses for c&p exams are no longer being reimbursed. Vets have to pay out of pocket.
It's worth remembering that we have a draft dodger in office. Zero shits given about taking care of the military or vets.
