The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) released a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) advising airlines to avoid flying over a portion of airspace located in the country’s northeastern sea region. “It’s a relatively small space where the debris can be expected. So this is the area that we are advising aircraft to stay away from,” CAAP spokesperson Eric B. Apolonio said in a phone interview. The warning advised airlines to avoid the area from 5:30 a.m. to 12 noon daily starting February 8 to February 25, 2016. North Korea is expected to launch a rocket-bearing satellite sometime this month as part of its space program. Debris of the rocket carrying the satellite are expected to fall on several areas, including parts of Philippine waters. Yes, they are supposedly fueling their rocket now. They say it is for launching a satellite but nobody believes them .
I don't blame them either, station a u.s carrier somewhere near and I'm sure they must have some sort of missile that can deal with it.
Actually I believe it is an aircraft with a laser. Airborne Laser System (ABL) YAL 1A - Airforce Technology
I worked in the ADAM cell show in the video while I was in......we didn't have any huge freakin' "laser beams" attached to the top of it back then though (which sucks!). I'm sure if they can fit it on a truck they could get a much stronger one on a plane. Seems we are almost there.
Oh no doubt. The ancient Greeks tried positioning large, curved mirrors to capture/create strong beams of light, hoping to start fires on enemy ships along their fortified sea port areas. Wouldn't surprise me if we can now harness laser power to strike from close-to-earth satellite-type systems, too. But I still think we need a few alien UFOs to add to the drama.... Heck, if one accidently falls from the air due to the N. Korean debris scatter over the RP, the West could tow it to Area 51 and reverse engineer it. Film at eleven.... nwlivewire

This is true. Most developed nations have a "black budget", where military R & D goes on that the average Joe won't ever know about until a finished product comes to use - or when it is seen by accident, or when something is "accidently" leaked. Black budgets, black ops, black R & D, a nation can not know for sure the cards in the hands of their opponents, and much bluffing goes on in between. Let's hope we have a stronger hand. nwlivewire
