I'm wondering if anyone knows where to find a cheap beverage ref? I'm also curious where all the business's get those coke, pepsi, and whatever beverage refs as well. I'd assume they are with some sort of contract for said beverage of choice or what not but no clue on where, how much, and terms. I have a small business hoping to open this week but I need a 2nd ref for beverages as the little dink one I got for it is very small to handle much.

I could always go with a cheap regular ref as well though as I *could* use more freezer space but I have no intention of paying big :greedy:. I'm a cheap b@st@rd now.

Find the respective company's bodega and ask a sales rep/manager.

I've owned a few refs over the years.
My first ref had a good energy efficiency rating and a low amperage draw. The low amperage meant it had a small compressor motor. That da*n ref took 2 days to cool a case of beer to a palatable temperature.

Now I have a ref with a higher amperage (bigger compressor). It will cool a case of beer in 3-4 hours.
Models with the larger compressors cost a bit more but at least they do their job.

The coke, beer etc. refs come from the distributors. It's like pulling teeth to get a new one and the old one's are junk. also they will remove it if they see another brand in it. POS (point of sales) across from McDonalds sell Mark's of Canada glass door commercial refs. Also Fujidenzo brand. You will pay 20-30K for a new glass door, fan driven beverage ref..

Don't think a distributor will deal with me then. I have coke, royal (coke products), mt dew (pepsi product), then will have san mig and red horse. Most of those would needa fit in the same ref/cooler. (I'm assuming by distributor you mean San Mig, Coca-Cola, and Pepsi-Co local distributors and not the various small distribution shops where you can get all of it together).

Maybe I'll just need to wait and try and find a half decent good used ref for a good price (like cheap price but not junk item). Or wait till the business gets going and in the meantime have to store a few of the extras in my house ref which won't keep the lady or myself that happy but what else to do.

You could get a styrofoam chest and use block ice to keep the drinks cold. Its what we do at parties and block ice is cheap

First, the cheap block ice is made from tap water so you would not want to use it in drinks or ice cream. Second, there is a block ice place near Hayahay and another one on a back road in Sibulan, both of which have delivery trucks but you would have to check what they want for delivery to Bacong. There may be a closer place but I don't know it.

Bit to far and with delivery needed likely to expensive. Tap water could be good if was boiled first which is also good for getting air bubbles out of the water for a more solid block of ice. Yet I doubt they bother with that either.

My SIL gets Block ice from somewhere that way, I will get my Wife to ask her when she gets home, I would have thought one of our Resto Operating members to have chimed in here but maybe they don't use Block Ice. I really can't see the North side of the City being the only Supply Available given the traffic Situation.
