Sadly, a good restaurant closed. Their Facebook notice: "to all our Dear Customers, It is unfortunate to inform you that we will be permanently closed starting today ( August 1, 2023) due to unforeseen circumstance. Our Chikahan team will all miss you and it has been our pleasure serving you all."
According to the bamboo telegraph (rumour). The manager quit, the owner closed the restaurant until a new manager is found. It seems the owner is out of the country right now. I hope this is true as Chickahan is also one of my favourite eaterys.
The owner goes to Australia off and on. Her son (good friends with my son) is there with her ex. She also owns Paddy's store, near Chikahan) and built a huge house up the hill in Bacong. She is a smart and successful business woman.
