Construction Materials/House Construction Cost

Hello everyone! I just would like to ask if anyone here knows where I could buy affordable yet durable construction materials? We're soon going to start building our house in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental. Would really appreciate it if someone could help me on this matter. Thank you!

Well we know some friends with experience who can build it... That way, it's cheaper.

 

Fyi, professional builders are now charging 27,000 smtr to do it all for you, including materials.

Seems a bit steep....US $ 535. sqm

 

Up from 21,000p smtr I paid in 2010 to a builder. Materials, like steel, have apparently gone up significantly.

 

where are you getting quotes for? I have a friend who is going to build in Dauin in a couple years and he is wondering how close it will be for him.

 

Are those materials you get to chose, or materials (cheap ones) that they get to chose and will need replacing or repairing in less than a year?

I would hope if you negotiate to get your own quality materials their cost would go down significantly.
