The prob. 13A expires after one year as you were told.
And... that is temporary after your 1yr probation and a 1yr prob ACRcard.
Which is a totally different topic to what the Op was asking.
Again another topic.
Do most western countries allow tourists to stay for 3 years or enter their country as tourists without obtaining a visa first? Can you even fly through the US (and a handful of other countries) on a connecting flight without getting a visa? Reciprocity is just not a realistic expectation... or really something that would be in our best interest (unless we are cherry picking which rules we want to be the same).
The SSRV does not expire, you used to be able to renew the ID card for three years at a time but now it must be renewed annually. It say on visa in passport duration is indefinite.
I accept that is a valid point but there are some major issues where Filipinos abroad are treated very much better than expats here - this includes the failure here to offer citizenship and the consequent lack of the right to vote (coupled with arrest for going near an election rally or debate). Many Western countries might not offer easy Visas but at least they respect their 'guests' a lot more than is the case here - mind you, here they treat their own citizens like shite at times.
May I be the first to congratulate you on your appointment as a mod.
I agree but i would add the word most between AT and TIMES.
Just correcting bullshit information does not make me a mod.
