I talked to the telecommunications engineer that over see's the internet providers in the area today, and i got the typical well i will look into it.

So this is what i propose. Every one here and everyone you know should call this guy and put pressure on him to do his job. He said, i have not received any complaints about internet service!

Well let's give him some complaints to hear about.

His name is mr.peralta, his office is across the street from the land bank. The entrance to his office is in the small barber shop across from land bank, second or third door from the corner. His office is on the third floor, no name on the door. Typical. He does not want anyone to know where he is. That way he wont have to work. Typical.

Office number is 422-5051 and cel is 0917 3200 088

everyone please take the time to call, if you don't take action to correct things, you don't have the right to complain about the service.

I know there was a petition going around on the site, if there is a copy with signatures take it to him.

Do nothing, and you get the same results! Nothing!

I'm assuming your talking about the NTC office, its on 3rd floor. The thing is they do get lots of complaints but the guy is only in Dumaguete like 2-3 times a week to take complaints. But he has no power other then to register complaints and occasionally does something when its about billing. But as far as getting better service they can't and won't do anything. The internet problem isn't a local one for the most part. Its the fact that the ISP's buy backbone bandwidth going outside of the Philippines and they don't buy nearly enough. This of course as usual is all about money as the less they have to pay on the international lines the more profits they rake in locally.

Further a recent ruling in agreement with NTC stated pretty much that the NTC doesn't have to deal with *slow* speed issues as they have no way to fix it and ISP's aren't liable for that as its out of their hands (not really though, just purchase more backbone bandwidth).

So basically all the complaints brought in will be written off the books and unless you can somehow topple the office with complaints talking about thousands and thousands I don't see anything changing.

But if your looking to be discounted or cancel service early and not pay fee's because of failed service go talk to them. Just not about having them fix the speeds.
