I tell myself every day above ground is a blessing, regardless of my situation. Be strong and never give up if there is a dark cloud above you. It will pass or you will.
-40% proof anything, minimum On a more serious note I never let things build up. When something needs to get done I generally do it at once. Probably one of the best ways to avoid difficulties. Also give things your all, do the best you can always and and face problems head on if indeed there are any. I generally don't have difficulties. I invite challenges and if I don't succeed. I will shoot to exceed. - I make sure I don't take on difficulties of others. Outside of my Wife... they better swim it alone. There are a whole host of books out there on positive thinking (part of bibliotherapy). It might seem unnecessary to use other people's thinking but instead to use one's own brain - but, especially at times of stress, the vacuum in the mind can so easily be flooded by negativity. Negativity seems to require no effort but positivity does. I could list dozens of positive-thinking quotes and will do so if you ask.
