Anyone know when the Diversion Road (or new sections of) will be completed? It's currently the 'road to nowhere' and finding updated info is difficult, which is strange for such a major infrastructure project for the City.
It has reached Junob from Sibulan but I have never been on the part between there and the Magatas turnoff. I was told by a local resident it has stopped at present due to a problem over a piece of land but cannot vouch if that is accurate. I noticed vehicles parked on the sides of the road, plus pedestrian crossings and businesses setting up next to the road - I wonder if it can ever be a high speed highway.
I also heard, from a reputable source, that work is suspended, needing a piece of land that the owner is reluctant to sell. My informant, a Sibulan resident with an office in The City, sounded frustrated. I sympathize, by my response included, "They should pay an appropriate amount for the property.|
Your information is the same as that I received from a local - so my question is 'Why start a MAJOR project before they have ALL the necessary land???'. Is there a chance the new airport will not be usable because the final bit of the runway (the bit where the plane lifts off) was never built due to not buying that piece of land?
What I find interesting is the multiple small pieces of the “highway” left unfinished. Probably a logical reason. Say what?
I think you will find around bacong a certain construction company has been banned due to unpaid bills from busted water pipes and large use of unpaid water from washing out the cement mixers on the side of the road.
I'm having flashbacks to a certain piece of land that was at the end of a local runway that couldn't be bought so that a certain tree could be cut that was causing an issue for planes.
