Guys, haven't you noticed when you drive, when you try to overtake you'll be surprise another one is overtaking too at your left so the two of you are on the same lane. I nearly got accident because I wasn't aware that it's very normal in this city to "double overtaking" " no headlights" and " no signal while turning right turn or left turn" they seem don't understand the law of driving.

Try Tasmania, double/triple/quadruple overtaking is common - so is overtaking on blind curves - especially by fully loaded logging trucks. We had our vacation there ruined a couple years ago by a logging truck maniac (fully loaded of course). Rear-ended us in a little rented Mitsubishi Colt while we were stopped for a turn. Like being being launched for a space-shot - would have pulled about 50g's when it hit....then sent us - and what little was left of the car - about 70 metres down the road and into some bush. Amazingly we walked away from it with little other than whip-lash, wife some soft -tissue damage around her shoulders and spine and me with sprained wrists from the impact and steering wheel, few cuts and bruises, but it could have (should have) been a lot worse...Quit whinging LOL, if you really want to experience living on the edge - drive Tasmania.....

i have figured out that the top nascar drivers come here to hone their passing, anywhere they can, skills and being able to place cars and trucks in spaces that you would have trouble walking

I got the biggest laugh on my 1st visit to PI, when while sitting at a light I looked over to my right and saw a "Golden Rule Driver's School" I still don't drive here on the highways.

I see that you live in Manila so you actually have highways, here on Negros we don't have any and the City traffic is the real challenge...O-|

Highways of Hell.......Even secondary roads are a major challenge...No stop signs or traffic lights at most intersections..no rights of way observed....Its all of game of chicken in most instances. I'll trade Dumaguete and all of Negros in a heartbeat.

Stop signs and traffic-lights are only irritating suggestions. I never really liked them

Sounds stupid but true.... Actually traffic signals can reduce the number of angle collisions at an intersection, few realize that signals can also cause an increase in other types of accidents (it has been well documented that other types of accidents, notably rear-end collisions).
