I just start to discover the world of E-books. Being being a vivid reader this opens for me a paradise. I'm reading now on my computer but would like to buy a E-reader to be able to read anywhere.
Can find only “tablets” here in Dgt. To much functions and “mahal”
Anyone who can advise me or want to sell theirs?? I would like a simple reader with back light to read also during a brown out or at night outside.
They're offered on line in Manila but I do not trust this guys and never bought on line. By the way: By I found a book by about his travels in the PH in the 1870ths.
Four million inhabitants- forest from shore to shore- lakes teaming with crocodiles-wild boar-dear. And that only 150 years ago.

I bought this ereader a year and a half ago, and have been quite pleased with it. Go to Sulit.com.ph and look for this item:
    7 Inches EBook Reader (MEBook).
I have gotten many books free from Pirate Bay, and have bought some from this store:
    https://ebookstore.sony.com/mb_us/HTMLLogin.flow
I'd stay away from Amazon unless you have a Kindle. Once you get your ereader, be sure to download Calibre, a free product which will allow you to convert from one format to another. My ereader is an important part of my life. Good luck.

I use an Apple iPad and use Amazon Kindle through Cloud Reader. Unless it has recently changed, you cannot get Apple IBooks in the Philippines.

    Thanks for the info John.
The 7"ME reader is for sale on Sulit. I just send them a note asking or the reader has back lighting for night reading. I'm pretty sure they will not answer so maybe you can tell me.
Being a "kuriput" Dutch I go for free books and will look into Pirate Bay, a name of my liking.
Found a lot on Gutenberg, nice out of prints.
And I'm interested in the solar lights. Do you still have any surplus?

I have a Kindle and I love it... It does not have backlight which is the best for reading, so for night reading I got the cover with a reading light...

Reading without backlight is much better for your eyes...

If you set up a VPN you should be able to (as long as you bought your tablet in the US or another western country that has the service available). I had the same problem with my PS3 and the movie/tv streaming but the VPN took care of the issue (have to buy a router that supported VPN (linksys W54GL works)).

If you bought your tablet here there is something in the programming that sends the location to the Google Play or Apple is tore (even in the US I was unable to download certain programs on a tablet I bought here). There is a work around for Android if you get root access, not sure about Apple products.
