There are old postings on this subject but not really relevant for what I am looking for.
For a little one time job I need a grinder to cut a padlock. Doing with a handsaw is impossible (hardened steel) and buying such a thing for a one time use, not worth the money. If one of you guys here have one and willing to borrow me would also be fine.
For reciprocal trust can leave a deposit so no need to be afraid it will not come back.

If you have access to a couple of wrenches, this method works.

How inventive some people are! It looks easy, so tried to copy it, though I have 2 sets of wrenches to make it works I failed. What made it more complicated, the padlock isn't loose like in the video but fixed to a link chain. So a grinder is still the best to get the job done. Anyway thanks for the hint and maybe other people can still use it.

I'll be home the week after next, so can hook you up with a grinder if you haven't gotten the lock sorted by then. I can't imagine going after one with a hacksaw.

No, it's still not sorted, so your proposal couldn't be better. PM me where I can find you including day, date and time.
    Already thanks a lot.
