With news of the progress being made in the Middle East, towards peace between the Palestinians and Israelis' It is my hope that all the atrocities that happened in Israel on the 7th October 2023, plus the atrocities that have happened since, both in Israel and Gaza, will be forgiven by families who have lost loved ones, forgiven by those whose lives have been shattered, and forgiveness,by those who have been maimed and continue to suffer the consequences of such horrific injuries, since the conflict began. It is also my hope that the Court of Human Rights will seek out those who are responsibe of Crimes against Humanity, may they all be brought to justice. Until such actions are taken, it's my opinion, that any hope of a lasting peace, in the Middle East will never truely be resolved. Ultimately, we all will be answerable for our actions. While we may be hopeful, being confident that peace will be achieved seems frivolous. There are too many people with extremist views on both sides to think that nobody will try to frustrate the process. Moreover since the current proposals do not contain a promise of recognition of the Palestine state by either Israel or the USA, I think the proposed path to peace will end at a very steep canyon back into aggression and more suffering.
