I have been noticing an increase in fake cigarettes lately. I smoke Marlboro Reds. Easy way to tell a real pack from a Chinese made fake is the numbers on the bottom of the pack. The fakes have a smaller serial numbers than the originals. Hard to tell if you don't have a good pack on you though. It is very noticeable under a black light. The white on the fakes glow while original does not. Notice it more in Luzon and Cebu than in Dumaguete but i have had my share of nasty tasting "bitter woody taste" smokes there as well.
I am really not familiar with these kind of problems; the trick, I don't smoke. But all guys that are still addicted will surely very much appreciate your hints.
If I take that disgusting habit up again I hopefully will remember to take a black light with me. Just how long an extension cord do I need?
How far to the sarisari store? I actually enjoy smoking though. I'm sure there are others that do as well. Some might say drinking coffee is a disgusting habit as well.

A new wave of cigarette smuggling? - Inquirer Opinion | Inquirer Opinion and this one... http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/metro-manila/05/17/13/fake-cigarettes-seized-tondo Are they selling these things at the same price as regular? I would be pissed if someone tried to pass along a fake pack of cigarettes. Dustin, remember that we found another easy way to tell, especially if you are at a neighborhood store. Have the person open the pack and then smell the pack. The smell of real Marlboro's is way different than the fakes. They probably don't sell many Marlboro's by the entire pack anyways, so they should be fine with opening one. I imagine the bigger stores would be fine, which is probably the safer route to go.
