Government & Education Flag ceremony at schools

I am patriotic as the next guy but, why in the hell do they stop traffic on the national hwy when they hoist up a flag in a school? 1) I cannot see the flag nor can I hear the anthem 2) it disrupts and clogs the already heavy traffic. Yes if I was in the school I would stand and be silent in respect I just don’t understand, the traffic enforcer just jumps out in front of traffic and holds it until the anthem is done.

 

maybe it's cuz of all the (unnecessary) noise the motorcycles make. kinda sucks... the motorcycle noise that is...
