If your older PC has gotten slower than molassas, the best thing you can do is a "clean install" of windows. If you haven't done this for several years you can see a huge performance increase. See your computer shop. If that doesn't work, or if you just don't want to, then the next best thing is increasing the memory (RAM) in your box. This will usually speed things up more than upgrading to a faster processor. MS recommends 1GB of RAM for XP and 2GB of RAM for Vista or Win7. These kits will be of use to you if: a) Your computer has two or 4 memory slots currently filled with smaller RAM modules. b) Your computer has four memory slots and two are currently empty. My AVR recently failed and the lousy electricity here quickly destroyed the motherboards of two of my computers but the memory (RAM) tests OK. These are for older (probably pre-2007 or older) PC motherboards. Asking price is based on current US Ebay prices for these exact same items (2nd hand) but I WILL CONSIDER ANY OFFER. I have no use for the stuff and I hate to toss good technology. NO PLAY, NO PAY - If you are unhappy with the purchase for any reason, just give them back and I'll cheerfully refund your cash.
