I will be back in Dumaguete before the end of the year. Can I buy a good quality gas barbecue in the Philippines, or do I need to send one over?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

For a decent quality weber or similar run anywhere from 30-80k depending the size and style ie rottisserie/smoker/dual compartment etc. Then again you will have to transport it from Cebu. Unless the new robinsons will carry them. ( not an optoin if you want it before spring hehe) Most likely it would be cheaper to buy there and ship over then you can get the exact style you like. There is a good selection of high end weber products at True Value hardware in Ayala mall in Cebu

Thank you for the information. I will just buy one here in the US and ship it. Especially since it is low season here for barbecuing.

What kind of "gas" where you planning on using? Propane is not available here and the jetting and pressure for LNG/butane is different. Just so you know.

I thought the bottled gas there was the same as the propane in the US. Can you re-jet a Weber barbecue from the US so they will work with the gas there?

    Gas BBQ

In CEBU @ the Ace Hardward but you will pay double Costco/Wall Mart prices.

Best to purchase in U.S. and ship without the propane tank.

Mr. Naga the Japanese man,who owns the Sushi stand in the basement of Lee Plaza, hand welds a very high quality BBQ grill/smoker. They are heavy (lined with special Hi-temp clay bricks) and should last a lifetime. I have not had any problems with mine, nor has anyone I know. As I recall, the price is about $100 usd. He can be contacted at: +63 919 697 7128.
