I had problems for the last 6 weeks or so... very slow could hardly connect to sites during the day. Then my modem went out, and they had that to be replaced taking 5 days - 2 days at Globe trying to get some action, then 3 days before they arrived. The new modem lasted for two days and went out... another day of arguing at Glove - Robinson, then three days wait for them to get to house. Immediately they strung 50 new meters of wire, then came in to check my computer... no improvement... then they reprogrammed my modem and everything seems to work. That is my story... dealing with Globe in Bacong.

No problem with them here in upper Batinguel.
Not since they replaced the wire to the house about a month ago anyhow.
I just did a Speed test and it is right on target.

When we do have a problem we do not go to the office at the mall. We just call the main number.

I just got back online now, been off since last Friday, I was dealing with total idiots on the phone, was promised a repairman at 8am and guess what?, so went into the Globe office in Duma, I asked for the Manager, she was very professional, I told her if my connection was not on by 2pm which gave them 2.5 hours, I will sit on their customer service counter and inconvenience them as I am being inconvenienced, I said I come here ready for a fight, and you will get one, I went back to the customer service counter about one hour later as globe had tried to call me, and asked what was happening, the woman their said around 3pm sir for a repair man, I said no as I said I will be sitting on your counter at 2pm, before I left the Rob Mall the repair man was at my apartments.
I asked Globe Via email if they had available space on their box at another apartment and if they could possibly transfer me, I pointed out that I am only enquiring if they can, they 3 times tried to hook me up in the proposed new apartment.
So the moral to the storey is don’t take their sh*t and be ready to give sh*t back and stand your ground, I had 3 teams here to sort out the problem, they said that Globe was a bit panicked by my actions hahahahah.
    More fun in the Philippines.

Losing face is a tool that may have to be used at times.

I am glad someone listens once in a while. I hate to be so obnoxious myself, but it seems like it is the only action they understand.

Watching someone face the threat of losing face, is more fun in the Philippines!

my story starts on the 12th of march we lost wifi connection I rang globe and was put through the Qand A bit and was told the tec, would come on 18th .
they came and replaced with a modem with a much smaller unit , it lasted 1 hour and went down.
I rang again and got a date for the tec to visit 24th, they came and told us the small modem was only 5v and should have been used at our sight and they replaced with my original modem that was left hereby the first tec. . this time the seem to have fixed it.
I was asked to sign off on the job order but please don't say anything about the small modem .
the tec. told me they have many problems and many call outs at the moment .
Globe are people that just don't care once you wave signed the dotted line they are finished with you.
Try paying you account at their office 1 hour min , 2 hours to talk to the service counter.
I would hate to be trying to run a business that requires internet .
I FEEL MUCH BETTER NOW LOL
    cheers

I bless my self in NOT having signed their contract a while ago, since ever I am using a 3G Cellphone to connect to the www, at the moment I have again a very difficult time getting a connection that is steady, almost anytime now it's not possible.
I am sure that will get even worse when the school holidays are fully on, did I mention that we live inside Dumaguete City proper, our cellphone reception for voice calls is no good as well...

globe is still having problems, my internet keeps going down, been told maybe they have two account holders assigned to one line, when my connection is reset and password is changed until the other person is cut off and then gets the repair man to reset, then I am off again, was told that the police were onsite at globe office as they had a few very excited customers hahahaah

Brian - and Everyone One Else Having Internet Difficulties:

I don't use Globe and never have. ( I have, over 9 years here, heard mostly poor things about their service, etc)
However, in fairness, I would like to inform those of you who don't know it, but two (2) undersea fiber-optic internet cables were cut , maybe about 10 days ago, and my ISP told me service could be normal, slow, or none at times, as the cable traffic is being rerouted to other undersea cable systems which may - or may not - cause delays in speed or even off line time for short periods.
It's possible it is not Globe's fault...I was told that s the contractor with the undersea fiber-optic carriers, so all internet traffic goes to PLDT who then resells to Globe, Smart, Sun, blah, blah, blah. If PLDT doesn't get the bandwidth, they can't sell it.
