The picture below is the first thing you see when you go to the BoI website. While I agree with the campaign, the way they are going about it is all wrong. This has the potential to be severely abused. (Get thrown in immigration jail, pay out the @ss for lawyers to defend yourself, and sit around locked up for years while they sort out if you are guilty or not.) They need to impose some SEVERE punishments for people making false accusations. Even with that, if the wrong (connected) person reported you there would be absolutely no repercussions for their actions. Hopefully immigration does their research before going out and arresting people accused of overstaying (or being criminals). Can not help but think this is more about MONEY than "keeping the good and throwing out the bad"....I .....along with a local hospital and the NBI tried to get a "bad" foreigner thrown out of the country.....and immigration did nothing...... this is not about ejecting bad guests......and you are right it can be abused.....but only if the foreigner is breaking the law..... which you would support in your country why not here?
