hi freinds. Can anyone introduce me a good health insurance company. I mean one that could cover most of your health cases and needs. I do not know how do health insurance companies work there because back here they charge us an annual fee that is around 4000 pesos and this includes availing of some free hospitals(which are good but quite crowded) and covering about 50 percent of your prescriptions or doctor;s visit fee. How is it there ?and how much do they charge you annually.? here usually the head of a family(the husband)gets insured and the rest of the family like wife and children are covered under his insurance- they also pay but less-.thanks for any info regarding this matter.
Hi Minime If you do a search here, you will find lots of information on health plans. I remember reading about a National plan and several private plans on here earlier...
If you work in government or a big company Health insurance is mostly included in your benefits. If you don't, healthcare may be very expensive. There are tens of insurance company's in th Philippines. One you may find some information:Philippines Health Insurance - Pacific Prime International
Phil Health. They pay up to 50% of expenses for an admitted hospital stay. They have an office in Dumaguete and they have had a table set up in Robinson's Mall recently.
thanks thanks so much for your kind responses. just having the names really help. by the way the film a separation has just won the oscars for best foriegn film from Iran. I am filipino-Iranian but happy that finally my half country did it!with all the bad news going around Iran this brought a smile to my face. It is a very simple film but makes you think about all the priorities in your life. I will be bringing it with myself in my near to come trip and I will be happy to lend it to any one who as me is a film buff. I don't know if it could be downloaded by the internet. actually I'm not into downloading illegall stuff.
I would be curious if you could have Phil Health or other policy and another insurance policy for gap coverage ?
