Hi, Art here. Been in the RPI one year and still looking for my sweet spot. Planning to move down there April 25 (next week) with my gf. I'm 65, retired, photographer, like cooking, music and just relaxing. I've got some pension house ideas from this forum that I'll probably use right away. What I need is input about what areas of Dumaguete and nearby towns/cities I should avoid, where are some nice areas to live and anything else you feel would be of value to a new arrival. Want to know where the flood prone areas are too. Ideally, I'd rent an apartment or house, furnished, 2-bedroom, prefer somewhere near the ocean but anywhere within Sibulan, Valencia down to Dauin would be fine ... or any other area I may not be aware of. Rent should not be more than P15,000 prefer P12000 to P10000. Thanks for any help offered.
You can try Mitos at Roodora homes. she has a fairly new 2 bedroom apartment available in a safe area. It's in Agan An Sibulan walking distance from the beach. P17000 fully furnished and free water. 0906-3379549 I think you can negotiate. Ron
My neighbour in Bacong is leaving this year back to the US. I think he pays 10.000 pesos a month for a house with quite a large garden and only 150 m from the beach. The house is partialy furnished but for the remaining furniture you can negotiate with the American. Since it all depends on the paperwork i don't know when he is leaving, but maybe you can talk to him. The house is very near Stella Maris, well known in Bacong south poblacion. Ask for Margie (sand and gravel) and she can help you.
try the sibulan 2-bedroom cottage furnished on the beach..it's only 7,000pesos a month including power and electricity...walking distance to all amenities...pls inquire Vilma's mobile...09266244460...
I know Vilma's place but didn't know it's available. Older style but a very good deal and she is a very nice lady. Ron
