    Greetings,

My wife, son and I have just recently moved to Dumaguete and enjoying our time here. I was on this forum at one time but decided to not use the old name, Larry knows about this.
I'm looking forward to meeting some of you all as I find most of your posts interesting. We have met some of you guys a couple years ago at a DI meetup at Mike's dive resort, (it may have been four years).

My favorites are House build and Horticulture but also the local news that is available.

We are in dumaguete now but will eventually settle in Valencia area.

I am also interested in House Build, more so the mini houses that are popular amongst those who like to get away from Suburbia and blend in with the country that surrounds them, also alternative living styles where the Houses are abstract in design, where there is no need for a tape measure or levels, using locally available materials like rock and timber etc

Horticulture; I watched my Father plant Vegetable Gardens, well I tried to watch, most times he had me swinging off of a Pick, Fork, Shovel, Hoe etc helping him, or mixing the contents from the Drum in the Thunderbox (CR) into a 44 gallon drum with water to water and fertilise the Vegetable plants.

Dad was also involved with putting Water and Sewerage through small Towns, but one of his favourites was the old Septic Systems where he would dig many trenches and fill with rocks and sand to take the overflow from the Septic Tank, and plant his Vegetable Gardens over these Trenches to provide nutrients for the Plants, I view it as "Early Hydroponics" in a sense :D lol

What are your main interests in these two fields mate?
