We just bought a new gas/electric cooker, the last one we had was a Fujidenzo and not very good, after looking at a few of the appliance shops we opted for a Fabriano which proudly displayed a large sticker stating 100% made in europe.
With a brand name like that you would think it would be maybe made in Italy but when it was delivered and i read the small print its made in Turkey.
I know a very small part of Turkey is actually part of Europe so i hope it was made there

Fun fact, there are actually 4 US towns named Turkey! You can find these towns in Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, and North Carolina!.......................... Perhaps your stove was made by a Prisoner in one of these States that was just a European smuggling Heroin or J walked perhaps.

There's enough conflict at present on the borders of Europe, however Turkey in recent years showed an interest in joining the EEC.
apparently a small portion is in Europe but the major part is not. I recall a UK company "English Electric" made fridges and contained parts made in Italy!

And Australia is part of the Eurovision Song Contest! As you will know, Russia was but has been banned over the invasion of a Sovereign nation - I bet that will make them think again. I would be happier if they stayed in and received nil points as that would put the UK only second from last.

The same applies to Russia. 23% Europe, 77% Asia by land mass.

Turkey was interested enough to join NATO in 1952, and is the only member on the Asian continent.

Continents in this context are political/cultural/ethnic continents, not actual geological ones. There is no geological distinction between Europe and most of Asia (though for some reason it is common for us to remove India and the Arabic countries from the Eurasian continent by calling them the Indian subcontinent and Middle East even though they are culturally and ethnically more similar to the rest of Asia than Turkey is, but they do sit on their own continental plates). IMO we need to pick a method for identifying continents and stick to it. Most NATO members are on the Eurasian supercontinent. Turkey is in a political/cultural/ethnic grey area of what we have arbitrarily decided were the European, Middle Eastern and Asian "continents".

No surprise there is no world wide consensus definition for "continent". I can find beliefs for four, five, two versions of six and for seven continents. Which places teach which views could be more telling in how each views their and each-others place in the world.

    It is pretty straight forward.

These are the major tectonic plates. Claiming anything different is just drawing arbitrary lines based off politics, culture and/or ethnicity...leaving many shades of grey between this silly lines humans have decided on.

I'm thinking current relations between EU and Turkey are not good at all, but even if that would change somehow, the EU would stall any turkish membership application while
    a. Erdogan is in power and
    b. the Turkish economy remains in complete tatters.
The EU has no desire whatsoever to allow in a country that would be a money pit for the foreseeable future.

But who knows, they might be willing to join the UK instead and recognize the Queen as head of state

We have enough Turkish barbers already.
Having visited Turkey a number of times I found it a most welcoming place, after their application to join the EU was turned down Erdogan leaned towards Russia.
Last time I visited Turkey there was a lot of signs Russian money being invested.
