    Better make sure it's Mon thru Fri, 9-5. Lunchtime and holiday schedule is questionable. From the Visayan daily Star;

    Dumaguete City Administrator William Ablong said he is hopeful that Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria will approve a request for personnel to man the newly-acquired water tanker during critical hours, especially at night, and to sleep at the city fire station.

    Jose Chu, who heads the City Disaster Management Office, made a similar request after a fire incident last week when the water tanker arrived more than one hour after the blaze was contained because there was no driver.

    Ablong said the city government is in a dilemma on this problem as the driver and crew of the water tanker are job order employees, or those who work only from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Chu has requested for additional personnel to be assigned to the tanker, who will be allowed to sleep at the city fire station so they will be accessible when there are fire calls.

    Ablong said they hope three personnel from the CDMO will be allowed to go on a flexible schedule to cut down lag time during fire incidents.

    City fire marshal Arnulfo Sayson said the tanker is important since it supplies water directly to the fire trucks.*JFP

    Perhaps this should be in the humor section?

    One more good reason to have a long enough hose and an elevated water tank to supply it with water in case of a brownout.

    Ridiculous!O-| What will happen to the big established if it falls on Saturday or Sunday?O-| i guess they have their own firetruck ready anytime. That's the reason also i have 10 bottles of fire extinguisher and made all ceiling with hardiflex!!

    Another reason to move up here in Valencia! we have municipal firetruck ready anytime and even supplying water if water system collapsed, and also during long brownout you can charge your lights and cellphones at the fire station office,ALL are FREE. :cool:
