15 years here, I've done enough, had enough, bags are packed for the big PX across the creek.
Best of luck to anybody staying, a couple of words to the wise....
Avoid in-laws for every bullshit reason they can come up with, the words "hell no" come in handy.
Avoid the cops, lawyers and court systems at all costs.
Watch your azz if you ride a motorcycle,
Never be in a hurry or expect anyone else to.
And remember, bad service, dodgy food and incompetence is just par for the course.

Good luck fellows! It used to be fun.

We used to commonly refer to the US as the big PX when I was in the service.

Hmm, when I was in and towards the end of a deployment we would say we were "short" and "4(or 3,2,1) and a wake up". I recall having many names (some of them moderation here would have to delete) for Iraq and Afghanistan but i can't remember a name for the US.

Although it seems like yesterday but was really quite a lot of years back, when I was teamed up with you guys you mostly referred to your home country as Uncle Sam, although some of the guys from the southern states would talk about "going back to Dixie". For us, the home country was always Blighty.

@Manzanita. Good luck Mark for whatever the future may hold for you.

I am sorry Mark that it did not work out for you, I remember the few times that we rode and talked together with fondness, the one time up at the “Palinpinon Trail” when you helped the Pinoy driver by getting that CRF450 out of the waist deep mud all by yourself, or when we were exploring Bacong and Valencia back roads...
I wish you all the best...
