It's kinda crazy here, most all Filipinos are SOOO jealous, especially the Filipinas. Even the dogs are jealous here of each other. Maybe this is a case of not enough to go around, I don't know! The first thing they always say is: "She's jealous because she loves you so much". I don't think so, you don't put the person you love into a cage, you don't put a collar on their neck. That's a SELFISH jealousy, a possessive one and does not demonstrate true love imo. My past g/f gave me alot of freedom, here they are all watching you and the grapevine will report on your activities, even if they are innocent.
it depends really, maybe your giving your girlfriend some doubts and maybe you do things that make her jealous? i just dont think anyone in their right mind will just feel jealous for no apparent reason. you must have done something that made her feel that way?
My wife was the extremely jealous type for almost 3 years until she got over it. It seems as though quite a few filipinas have trust and self esteem issues, but these can be minimized over time with love, respect, and by the man being extremely trustworthy. Give them a reason not to trust you, and it will compound things and make things worse.
Being insecure with themselves is the number one reason for jealousy. Most Latino countries have the same problem. Not sure how the Spanish caused this but I blame them.
i agree but that really depends on the woman too, like what knowdafish said, if she has low self-esteem and not much confidence she is definately the type that easily gets jealous thinking that other girls are prettier than her and they're going to steal her man but by saying this, it depends on how her "man" handle her jealousy as well. if he gives her a reason to be jealous like, show interests or even approach those other girls, then i guess...both have issues, one is a jealous type and the other one is a flirt.LOL. theres been many around :-)
Insecurity and selfishness. Insecurity: I would certainly agree. I do not feel Jealousy has anything to do with love or even the actions of the person that is getting a jealous reaction, but more a possession thing, and insecurity thing of the person with the jealousy. Selfish desires: What amaze me is that the girl friends of the girl friend, will tell stories about your gf, or you so they can become you new girl friend when you break up. There is little support of relationships here by the lady friends if they think there is something to gain for themselves.
