After spending time at Sans Rival at the mall the last couple of days unsuccessfully hoping to see Kojak to offer a face-to-face apology, last night I remembered I had his email address. I wrote him and apologised. What I said was the heart of the matter is not why I posted what I did but what I said, including those incorrectly attributed to Muddyfeet. He wrote back accepting my apology. We agreed to meet for lunch and will talk about matters other than this topic. Kojak suggested I stay on the forum. There have been several innuendos directed my way since this whole dreadful experience started, but at least I know my friends are still my friends.
Please, continue posting. Continue expressing yourself. Nobody should be isolating themselves here in the Philippines.
Whatever the circumstances, everyone makes poor judgments at times in their life, except for a few who have a bigger problem understanding their own limitations. I think you have contributed healthy information in too many instances to the forum and to people within the Expat community to remove yourself from the Forum for one situation. The decision is yours, if you want to stop posting, make the best decision for yourself, but I agree with TheDude I hope Broadside and Muddyfeet also remain active members of the Forum.
I guess with over 3000 posts one's imperfections are bound to come out occasionally and you screw the pooch.

Do we have, a little Communication Downfall? I can't, say anything about MuddyFeet, (I too hope, he will rejoin/continue posting) But I had lunchtime with Roger ( Broadside) Yesterday. He told me, he had no Knowledge, that he had been reinstated. Obviously, he has not been to the site, as it wont open if you are banned. his words to me were, Well Larry has not informed me of this. :( Can we correct this boss?
My final post on this subject. When the crap started, Alex was at the mall the day handouts were passed and was handed a paper with quotes from the forum. When he got home he sent me an email or PM saying my name was attached to the handouts with comments I made, along with comments from others. I immediately sent Larry a PM stating the forum had been compromised, I then posted that on the forum to try to minimise more comments being made. A couple days later I had to defend myself that I wasn't the one who did the copy and paste and distribution even though my comments and name were on the handouts! Although I felt bad this got out, my quotes were made with facts that were known and my opinions (as we know opinions are like @#%^*+*$, everyone's got one). Over a week later, I was told another handout was passed out with my comments attributed to Muddyfeet. Hmmm. If that was the case, there must have been two different papers handed out at two different times - I did not see either handout. Once I verified this, I decided to try and find Kojak to apologise and tell him they were my comments, not Muddyfeet's. During that time more innuendos were made that I'm not sure were suggestions I may have passed out the second handout or if I was trying to cover something up or whatever. My decision to stay off the forum was based on my treatment, as well as Broadside's and the failure to notify Broadside that he was no longer banned. However, The Dude made a good comment and I agree with him so unless I am banned by the moderator, I will keep trying to contribute and not pile on if a negative situation comes up. Separate from that I believe Kojak was hurt by my comments and I owed him a sincere apology, which I did.
And I thought Pinoy Drama was the pinnacle of this sort of entertainment... I hope this will straighten out somehow BUT where is Larry, I have not seen anything yet for a while...
If Larry is able to get away from the site for a bit, that's a good thing. Hopefully he is out giving his relationship with the forum owner some TLC.
Haven't posted anything on DI for a long time, but read most everything...... I can understand Larry and his wife and how they feel deep inside about the situation that occurred in the Barrio. Baste on all I have read on DI the last year and what DI brings to intelligent people, I would shut down DI for good. All the info we need when living in Philippines is available on internet, or get info by texting or calling a friend. Personally for me and my family, we have so many other things to do, rather than Blah Blah Blah on DI. Just my humble opinion.
