Large Island style Hammock

I have been living in the Philippines for quite some time. I have tried to find a large cotton hammock here, but was never able to find one. The last time I was in the US I brought one back with me. My wife has always wanted a business so My wife and I talked it over and decided she could make them with my assistance. She now has some nice finished woven cotton rope hammocks and is offering them for sale. The price is 2700 pesos for the large hammock which is approximately 59 inches wide by 7 feet 3 long, with the total hanging length 11 ft 9 inches. She will be making some single person hammocks later on at a lower price.

Cool! Are all going to be cotton or will some be nylon or polypropylene?

 

For now they are all cotton, which is my preference because they are very cool and comfortable to the touch. My wife is trying to find a good quality nylon and polypropylene that is close to cottons comfort, but she hasn't found any quality ones yet. We will let you know when. We might go bring some into Dumaguete on Saturday if you are interested in seeing them.
