All of the pools that I have seen in Dumaguete have been small. I was wondering if there were any public pools big enough to swim laps in? Thanks
Aqua center behind the Capitol is the only public one I think, more than large enough to accomodate laps, check times of availability, as many youth activities and schools use it.
By public, I meant anyone can use it. I have seen several pools at restaruants or hotels that you can pay to use, but they were so small. Thanks for the info on Aqua Center.
The entrance fee is 20 pesos or 200 pesos monthly. Operating time from 6 am to 6pm with a standard lunch brake from 12 to 1 pm. It is a standard olympic 50 meters 8 lines 5-8 ft deep. pool and there is a separate deeper pool for water jumping. They even have a jakuzi but currently there is no water. Aqua Center I was at the Aqua Center today and this is the info they gave me: Mon-Fri 6-9am and 3-8pm open for swimming. Sat 6-9am and 3-5pm open for swimming Sun CLOSED Adult admission P20, NO monthly fee available
That's very strange. I've been swimming there on 17th of january from 10am to 12, and on 19th from 1 to 2pm.

Another day, another answer. Was at the Aqua Ctr on Thursday, 1/26, and asked again what the hours are, and this is what I was told: Monday: 6:30-12:00 1:00- 5:00 Tues-Fri: 6:30-1:00 1:00-6:00 Sat 8:00-12:00 1:00- 5:00 I asked again about a monthly fee, and was told that was ONLY for the gym.
we are brand new to Dumaguete, what is, and where is - the Capitol? We are also interested in a public pool where we can to laps. Thanks.
