    So the forum is now a free for all without leadership or management or auditing and more of a political platform and country-bashing media than an informative and helpful site. Good luck selling new adds here.

    Well quite possible the opposite Pato, maybe a whole lot of frustrated members might come back, and actually recommend the DI forum

    Perhaps the mods should create a "Politics" section. I personally don't give a rat's arse if people talk sh*t about the US or any other country or culture. I believe everyone has a right to free speech, even if they have diarrhea of the mouth. Just remember that that free speech goes both ways. I have plenty of beef with my country as well but it should be placed in an appropriate section, not the "general" or "expat" section.

    Personally tired of the political threads (and why US politics is so popular here recently is beyond me, this is a Dumaguete/Philippines forum). I believe the purpose of this forum is to help people with living and finding things in Dumaguete........and to make a bit of money off ads.

    Oh well, I'll check in from time to time to see if anything has changed. Between the political threads and ancient threads being pulled up on a regular basis I don't see much going on here anymore.

    I agree with you. I joined to get information and helpful news from the Phils. I am not interested in bashing Australia, the US or any other country, nor am i interested in listening to anti gun or anti military tirades , there are a lot of forums available for these kinds of rants. Like the late Rodney King said "Cant we all just get along'

    Smart move Dane; let the mongrel dogs scrap amongst themselves for a while and when the hair settles hopefully the yappy annoying little mutts will lose their voice, letting the pedigrees move in.

    Soon DI will become a very VIBRANT Forum for all.....most of us are in the same boat "FILIPINA" and there is no reason why we all couldn't get along and enjoy are time in this lovely country. The FEAR of writing will be gone soon, and the "INNERCIRCLE", just a few men maybe have to sit back and REFLECT, RESPECT and ACCEPT the fact that DI should be a Forum for all to have the right to share their opinion with out ANY FEAR from ANYBODY at DI Forum regardless of their position. Time has come...The Time is here....The Time is NOW!
