I'm still deciding which breed to have, my top choices for now are Chow Chow, Golden Retriever or Labrador. But since I live in an apartment, maybe I should have a Chow Chow since its relatively smaller than the 2 other dogs. Can someone kindly refer me to someone who has any of the dogs? P.s: Only interested in puppies, I want to train/raise the puppy myself
Puppies Grow! As a dog owner and lover, I can only say, unless you have plenty of time to, exercise these breeds of dog, I would reconsider, All three have tendencies to get bored and Frustrated, with out proper & regular exercise, Coming home to chewed up furniture is no fun, Bin there and Learned the hard way. I think you may need to read up a little on this my friend, Your better choice may be, the smaller breeds, Jap-Spitz, Jack Russells or mini Pinscher. All Dogs need and require exercise but rule of thumb is, the bigger the dog the more exercise. To me, Chow's, Labs's or Retriever ( and of course they are the same Family) are working Dogs and need that excercise, I am not in favour of large dogs in Appartments. OMHO here. Hope you find what you are looking for, with success. Jack P. (The little one is a Sptiz, look at the difference)
remember, birds fly....fish swim and dogs are made to travel/walk. Walking in circles in an apartment is cruelty IMHO
Apartment sized dog I have a 1/2 chihuahua, 1/2 mini pin....PERFECT size for apartment, and trust me, although small, they have a very large bark to alert you to any stranger danger!!
Thanks for the info guys. I live at EJ Blanco drive so I'm pretty sure I can give it the walks it needs. I read that Chow Chows are ok with apartments as long you can give it a daily walk. Source: Chow Chow Information and Pictures, Chow Chows
:D Choice made then? Hope all goes well my friend, look forward to seeing you, on the Boulevard sometime. Jack P.
Guys Is there a local list of breeders or is it a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Pressure is on from my daughter to get a dog, Im going to try and stretch it until Christmas, but need to be prepared anyway Cheers
Thanks Jack P, have to keep this from the daughter :D Now, if only the Aussie Cattle Dog had a number beside it ... :(
Maybe I am too technical challanged, I don't find any puppy there, even there is the number 6, when clicking on it the next is only 0's. I may have looked at 10 random puppies after given up looking for a special breed and all are in the States. I am sure it is a mistake from my side, so if anybody can help it is appreciated.
