I'm from Bacolod, and I'm looking for a retailer of rattan or wicker furniture. In particular, I'd like to buy a sala set. Delivery to Bacolod would be much appreciated. I'll most likely order another one if I like the first. Hope someone out there can help. Thanks!

Hi. I'm surprised you can't find a good rattan sala set in Bacolod. That town has just about everything. The only thing I haven't found....is a decent beach....LOL....I'm almost a Bacolodon, since my wife is a LaCarloton....We'll be living out near Talisay, but commuting to Dumaguete often for fun weekends, diving, hiking, diving....more diving.....

Have you tried asking at The Showroom...out near the Capital Lagoon? The people there know who is making what around the town...very helpful.

Actually the best rattan work I've ever seen was over on Bohol. Town called Antiquerra (hope I spelled it right) maybe an hour at most from Tagbilaran. They run a weekly market and it was stunning what they had on offer....and the prices....so looooow...Great bargains there...

I agree, this town has just about everything.. I found similar rattan furniture makers here in Bacolod but the price were about twice that of the furnitures in saw in Dumaguete. or maybe i just haven't made that a thorough search yet in bacolod? anyway, my brief visit to the roadside rattan furniture shop in dumaguete whose name escapes me at the moment left very good impressions in terms of quality and value for money. Bohol sounds interesting. Although the logistics of how to bring an entire sala set to Bacolod would be something i have to think about first :-)
