I'm sure I'm going to really enjoy the process of replacing my lost ACR card. If anyone has experienced this before, I would benefit from your advice. I am in Angeles City and have always been able to obtain my tourist visa extensions at the local immigration office in Clark, always quick and easy. I do plan to visit the Clark office in a few days to seek their advice and to learn whether or not I can handle the replacement process entirely in the Clark office. In the meantime, if anyone has gone through this before and feels like sharing, I'm all ears! John
John I wouldn't bother if it's a tourist card! Have you ever been asked for it for any reason? Just wait until next yr when you need to get replacement, it's just another way of extracting money from foreigners like the express lane fees, never seen one yet but they like to charge for it!
Well, I think I need to present a photocopy of it with each visa extension? (I can't remember for all of my extensions, but I did for my last one a couple of weeks ago). Also, February 13, 2014 is my one year anniversary in the Philippines as a tourist, I know I can stay 16 months, but I am not sure whether there are any special requirements at the one year mark. My card was issued in April of 2013, but I do not know its expiration date.
The card lasts for one yr, also if you need to replace it you will need to go to a lawyer and get an affidavit letter about the loss. Never heard of photocopy of card before just last entry in to the Phil's and last stamp page!
I plan to exit near June 13, 2014 - that is my 16 month anniversary of my arrival. So my planned departure is before the card expires. If I need that card to exit, then I will have to replace it before then. So much hassle to stay here as a tourist. It might be easier to just fly to Singapore and back every two months.
You need to produce your ACR card when you apply for the Exit Clearance Certificate, and you will need an ECC as you have been here for more than 6 months.
Mate, don't worry about it, I HAD to renewed my card on 19 July this year, still waiting for it to arrive at immigration office Dumagete, they say it is Manila office hold up! Last time I asked for it they said not here yet, I said, so I don't really need one as no one has ever ever asked me for it, didn't even get a smile! When they first came in I showed it to immigration at Manila airport on my way to Aussie, the immigration officer said I don't want to see it, so I have never shown it again. Just another way to get money from us! As to having to show photo copy of the card, never had to do that here in Dumaguete, only passport pages!
