Manny Pacquiao was knocked out cold at 2:59 of the 6th round. That was brutal.
Do you think he should retire after this devastating defeat? What say you?

I had the first round even, with Marquez getting 2, 3 and 4. Gave 5 to Manny. But Marquez is an orthodox boxer, while Manny is a southpaw. Although Manny was coming forward at the end of the 6th, any southpaw that drops his left is open to a sucker punch from an orthodox boxers right. That's just what happened. It was a peach, a stunner, a text book straight right.

He's had a great run, and a huge payoff. He'll always be an icon in this country. Time to call it a day.

you got that right, but international he will be in history-books as the guy behind undefeated Floyd Sinclair and the "face down" shot will be remembered outside the PI

This is Manny's decision. The market for his fights is still there and there seems to be few boxing stars to fill in right now. Given that he has so many other things going on, perhaps he should quit boxing and focus on the life he has created outside of boxing. Being the best boxer in the world probably requires more attention than he has been able to give lately.

The judges had Manny ahead on points ; 47/46 just before he got knocked out. It sure looked like it was going to be his night after he knocked Marquez down on the 5th. I think Manny got careless and left himself wide open trying to knock Marquez out early in the fight.
In my opinion, I think Manny should retire but I doubt very much that's going to happen just yet. I don't think we've seen the last of Pacquaio/Marquez series. The way they're talking right now, there is going to be another one. It was a great fight. Marquez did great and erased all doubts this time around.

I think he'll be back, with an eye towards a Marquez rematch being his swan song, win or lose. I am sorry MP lost, but if it had to happen glad Marquez gets some more respect now.

To tell you the truth, I was kind of glad it was Marquez who knocked Manny out instead of Mayweather or anybody else. I like Marquez, he's a warrior. A rematch, I think is inevitable and that's going to be even bigger than the last 4 previous fights. Boxing fans would demand it. A rematch would be even bigger than a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight and a much bigger paycheck. Win or lose. Both fighters win.
