I'm looking for a better motorcycle insurance. The one I have now is from Cebuana Lhuillier. The coverage is not really good. Of course for this low yearly premium you can't expect much more. Any suggestions which company has good offers ? Thanks.
The cheap '3rd Party Only' insurance offered by most of the dealers is pretty much useless. I'd suggest you talk to Standard Insurance, Portal west Bldg or Commonwealth Insurance, go N past the port area, turn left towards Silliman Hospital, their office is on the right. They can both offer comprehensive insurance.
I have used Standard Insurance on the second floor of Portal East since 2013---they even take care of getting my renewed registration from LTO (for a nominal fee). Professional, competent and very reasonable (about 330p for the year on a Honda XRM, if i remember correctly)
Do they provide Comprehensive Insurance? I would like to get cover for the Wife's Yamaha MIO Scooter as we are still paying it off and would like some sort of insurance that will cover damages or replacement if necessary.
Portal East has not existed since 2013. Its a new building. Just joking with you. I'm guessing the Standard Insurance you mentioned must have recently moved there.
Thanks. But that's what I pay roughly as well. What I'm looking for is a better coverage. And that will cost for sure a few thousand pesos per year. Which is OK for me. I will ask Standard Insurance what they can offer.
I get the maximum coverage from Stronghold Insurance, located in the OK Pensionne House on Santa Rosa Street. This year I pay around P3500 for liability P100k etc. for my 125cc bike. I smog it, and they do the registration at LTO; that payment is included. I cannot say how they respond to an incident; in 8 years I've never had a claim or had one made against me. They have instructed me on how to deal with an incident. First thing, get a police report!
Thanks. That looks already much better. Because as Hawk623 says for around 350 Peso a year you can't expect anything and is for sure useless. The problem is we don't know how these companies offering a decent coverage will respond in case of an incident. Hopefully I never have to find out..................
