    Hi,

I am working on a fish pond filter project where we need at least 4 good, clean, fish safe, plastic barrels and possibly quite a few more to catch rain water in. The 1500p or so that Matiao wants is too much since so many are needed. If anyone knows of a good (preferably local) source for them please let me know.

Without lids is OK, but we prefer if they had the lids.

You can go to Pigeon Resort and talk to the owner. He sells some plastic barrels for 200 pesos but they may not be as big as you want. They are used as he gets something (hellifIknowwhat) delivered in them and then sells the containers.

From your picture, I am not sure if I have the correct size in mind, but. Down here in the Dumaguete area, many of the sari-sari stores will sell their empty plastic containers, with a tight fitting cover. for 150 Php. They are the empty containers that are used to deliver lard - grease. I have 5 or 6 I use regularly. Suggest you check out some sari-sari stores that are a bit larger, selling a few more products than the average joint next to you....ha,ha.ha?

Thank you for your reply, but I think the ones you are referring to are 5 gallon (20 liters or so) buckets which I can also sometimes use, but what I am looking for are quite a bit larger at 55 gallons (approx. 220 liters).

No, no, friend! No, I don't mean buckets with handles. LOL.
I just went outside and checked, but they are only labeled as 30 kg. containers...nothing about liters / gallons. They are not as big as a 55 gallon drum (as I call them) but they are very decent sized and do have a seal tight lid. My uneducated guess would be they are around a 40+ gallon container.
